04Questions
Questions patients ask
Answers from the clinic. For anything specific to you, call (307) 745-8991.
The Aviva device relies on a thin wand to deliver radiofrequency (RF) energy both above and beneath your skin’s surface, tightening the vaginal canal and labia. When RF energy reaches vaginal tissue, it converts to thermal energy that triggers collagen and elastin production. Over time, your body uses its new collagen and elastin to rebuild internal and external tissue, delivering long-lasting results you can see and feel. This process also improves circulation, increasing blood flow to the clitoris to enhance sensation.
Both surgical and non-surgical labiaplasties can be impactful, and there is no single “right” decision. Typically, we recommend Aviva for patients seeking to address mild-to-moderate asymmetry and laxity—both in the vaginal canal and labia. Through precise techniques, Dr. Klingler can reduce enlarged labia by up to 30% without surgery, requiring no downtime. However, in more advanced cases of vaginal laxity and labia enlargement or asymmetry, a surgical approach may be more suitable.
Surgery allows for more dramatic reshaping, but requires more downtime. At Laramie Physicians Women & Wellness Clinic, we specialize in both approaches, as well as a range of other women’s health services . Schedule a consultation with Dr. Klingler to make an informed, confident decision between a surgical and non-surgical labiaplasty in Laramie.
Before your procedure, you’ll meet with a registered nurse to discuss your medication use, and you may be advised to temporarily discontinue anticoagulants. Do not use intensive skincare products or topical treatments within 3 days of treatment unless cleared by Dr. Klingler. 2 to 4 days before your procedure, shave the area, but do not wax or use hair removal creams to avoid increasing sensitivity. On the day of your appointment, make sure that the area is clean and free of lotions and other products.
We’ll ask you to use the restroom and remove any jewelry when you arrive. Then, we’ll answer any questions you have and begin, ensuring your physical and emotional comfort at every point.
While there’s no true downtime from Aviva treatment, and most women return to their routine within a week, aftercare is essential. After your non-surgical labiaplasty in Laramie, you may notice mild swelling, tenderness, or warmth in the area, but this resolves quickly. Our team will provide detailed aftercare instructions, advising you to avoid heat, friction, and strenuous activities for a few days. Your final results will unfold gradually over the next 3 to 6 months, enhancing your long-term comfort and confidence.
